The exhibition is the largest and most authoritative exhibition in the METAL processing and metallurgy industry in Russia, sponsored by the Russian Metal Exhibition Company (Metal-EXPO), and supported by the Russian Steel Suppliers Association. The 29th edition of 2023 was successfully held in the Moscow International Exhibition Center on November 7-10, 2023. Breaking the previous record, a total of 815 leading metal industry companies participated, covering an area of more than 40,000 square meters, and more than 30,000 metal product consumers, representatives of transport, logistics and metal trading companies from the construction industry, mechanical engineering, fuel and energy complex visited the show.
More than 50 events were held in Moscow during the Autumn Metal Week, and the number of visitors increased significantly compared to previous years, with 35,700 professional visitors. Steel producers and end users took the opportunity to meet face to face, share best practices and learn about the most advanced solutions and products on display at the booth. Most of the participating companies expressed satisfaction with the show, noting its effectiveness for business development and confirming their participation in 2024.

Chinese exhibitors come to the exhibition every year, steel equipment, refractory materials, continuous casting technology, construction steel, automotive steel, as well as testing and monitoring instruments, spare parts manufacturers, especially pipe, wire, sheet, coil, bar and other steel products, semi-finished products, special steel manufacturers in recent years, the exhibition results are obvious. China and Russia are close neighbors with obvious geographical advantages. Introducing China's metallurgical equipment, technology and products to the Russian market is of great significance to promoting Sino-Russian steel trade and economic and technical cooperation, and seizing the commanding heights of the Russian steel market.
The 30th Russian International Metal Metallurgical Industry Exhibition in 2024 will be held in Moscow from October 29 to November 1, which is the largest metallurgical exhibition in Russia, and the scale is constantly expanding every year. Since the exhibition was held, it has played a great role in promoting the development of China's steel industry, and also strengthened the exchanges between Russia and China's steel industry. Therefore, the exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Moscow International Exhibition Center, the Russian Association of Metal and Steel Traders, the Federation of International Fairs (UFI), the Federation of Russian Metal Exporters, the International Federation of Metals, the Federation of Exhibitions of Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Baltic States, Strong support from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Exhibition director Alexei Yefimov said that in the complex geopolitical situation in Russia, it is necessary to independently establish new suppliers of consumables and components, and restore the broken technological and logistics chains in Russia. "We will see a lot more interest in the Russian market from Asian companies, mainly Chinese companies," he said.

"It is precisely in 2023-2025 that China takes over the EU's top spot, and this is an opportunity for both China and Russia," the report concluded. After the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with the sanctions and blockade imposed by Western countries on Russia, a large number of Western companies have withdrawn from the Russian market, which is a very good development opportunity for our goods to enter the Russian market. If we can seize this opportunity, I believe that many Chinese enterprises will be able to achieve better development in the Russian market.
